An excellent adaptation
Scenario
In the timeless city of Macondo, seven generations of the Buendía family navigate love, oblivion, and the inevitability of the past and fate. This is Netflix’s most expensive Latin American project to date, with Colombian groups and indigenous communities building the props and sets for the series.
At the same time, they respect what Colombia is ethnically and culturally, as a people and society
We start from wonderful photography, good depiction of settings, and creative direction, with an approach that respects the original work. In addition, they faithfully adapt the events of the book and use resources such as conceptual designs to complement the narrative.
The diversity of traditions, music, food, and races are part of the Macondo universe, as well as the history that makes up the years of violence in Colombia
This gives way to its chronology, which is perfectly woven, resulting in a product that is somewhat different in content, but not with a negative connotation in terms of the development of the story. In fact, it is a very devoted and very faithful work that evokes the nostalgia of One Hundred Years of Solitude and the artistic impact that Latin American literature and the work of García Márquez had on later generations.
